Ankiel called up!

The Armada placed Rick Ankiel on the Major-League roster this week, and are currently looking at what minoor-League prospects will be waived for exceeding the minor-league-status. "We really like Ruiz, and Sonnenstein." Said Armada Manager Ken Oberkfell. Mark Reynolds will be another tough decision, as team management look to mix youth with experience.

"I think all the pieces are here to win, but we must move cautiously the next few weeks.." said coach John Olerud. Free agency begins this coming week, and several players are on the Armada wish-list.

It's a "Full House"

The Armada completed their Major-League Roster on Thursday, with the signing of 3 free-agents. The team also announced a trade on Thursday that brings Closer Chad Cordero into the fold, where he joins BJ Ryan as The Armada's Dynamic Duo of Closers.
The Armada also introduced their new Designated Hitter, Travis Hafner, along with First-baseman, Paul Konerko, and Outfielder Matt Holliday. "These three should a lot of offensive punch to The Armada this season", stated Manager Ken Oberkfell. "We had been concentrating for so long on out pitching, that ownership was a little concerned that we had a weak offensive threat. We hope we have aided in that area", he added.
The Armada Winter Warm-up starts tomorrow morning. Many players, coaches, and ownership will be present. Everyone attending with paid admission will receive two autograph tickets, for a random Armada player. Tickets are sold-out for this year's event.
